Who's Going to take care of the Palm Trees?

I'm Depressed,
I Love this city, I really do,
The Prophet Mohammad's cousin the fourth Imam "Ali" says "Your country is where your are embraced in", my country is not embracing me, It not embracing anyone anymore.
I feel sad when I ever think of running away from Iraq, not for my sake I don't care anymore about myself, I'm over thirty I have nothing to achieve for myself, my dreams are simple, but I have a Family hanging around my neck.
Who's going to take care of the Palm trees?
I'm not leaving, ever,
I was born here and I was raised here, I will protect my family as much as any father would protect his children and more.
Good Night.
P.S. there is no country that would accept us anyway ;)

I wonder . . . I know a country that has an insane leader who has threatened to use Nuke Bombs on Iran. I wonder if the UN will get up a "Coalition" to overthrow him and "Liberate" his country. I'm sure the people would welcome the invasion with open arms.

Sometimes, I just want to run away . . . . but there is no country that would accept me. It is terrible when a "so called Leader" makes Americans hated by everyone.

The trees still love you and shelter all who pause in their shade. The trees give their dates feeley to Sunni, Shia, Christian, Jew, Iraqi or American alike....so long as the tree gets the water and sun it needs....and is not yet another casualty of the war.

This story on NPR made me think of you. Do you truly love the date palms? Do you garden as well? Would you like to be part of replanting the palm trees of Iraq? Because I'd love to help raise money for such a project. Surely gardeners across the world would be willing to give money to plant palm trees in Iraq.
